Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:6

Prayer is one of the most powerful tools in the believer’s arsenal. It is the heartfelt communication between an eager child and an almighty, loving Heavenly Father.

The best part? He is not only able to answer us, but also willing and excited to do so!

When we come to our Father with pure faith and a sincere heart, He is moved to work on our behalf and intervene in our situations. The wonders that prayer can do are nothing short of astounding. When God, in His word, tells his children to pray, it is for a reason. It is because He knows what happens and what is released when we do.

Here is a catalog of the undeniable power of prayer:

  1. Prayer Brings Salvation

This is the greatest miracle a human being can ever receive! Total freedom from the power of sin is obtained when we simply accept Jesus’ sacrifice and ask Him into our hearts. We then become a true son/daughter of God. All one needs to do is pray and ask Jesus into your heart and you become a part of the Christian faith.

2. Prayer draws us closer to God

As we pray and meditate on God’s word (Joshua 1:8), the Spirit of God grows and becomes stronger in us. The more we pray and spend time with our Creator, the more we yearn for Him. Prayer is the bedrock of a profound relationship with the Holy Trinity. It aligns us with His purpose and prepares us for eternity.

3. Prayer Evokes God’s Mercy & Grace

Our human limitations can sometimes hinder us from being all God wants us to be. As we learn and grow to overcome them, prayer brings His divine mercy and unmerited grace to help and bless us through the process.

4. Prayer Brings Transformation

As we pray both for ourselves and for others, our past form falls away like an old, tattered cloak. We begin to shed off our old nature and become more like HIm. Christ’s divine nature becomes the very essence of who we are.

Pride, hatred, and selfishness, and other sins are replaced by the fruits of the spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. True holiness is formed in us.

5. Prayer Defeats the Powers of Darkness

They don’t stand a chance against a consistent and fiery praying believer. Satan, his agents, and his agenda are paralyzed,  neutralized, and ultimately defeated through the power of prayer. Aren’t you glad that we have a weapon(s) to defeat the enemy?!

6. Prayer Injects Strength and Peace

In tough situations, the place of prayer is a place of unshakable refuge and comfort. Testimonies of God’s past wonders bring assurance, that if God has done it before, then He surely WILL do it again! Through it, we tap into His inexhaustible ocean of peace and grace. Through prayer, we can glide through the roughest storms and emerge victoriously.

7. Prayer Brings Healing

The healing power can be activated through prayer. It draws power from Jehovah Rapha for failing bodies, spirits, souls, families, relationships, academics, businesses, careers, ministries, and nations. The healing it brings is not partial. It is full and complete.

8. Prayer Grants Wisdom and Direction

Sometimes in life, we get stuck, confused about the next step or action to embark upon. Other times, we know exactly what to do, but not how. We can access the Custodian of true wisdom-the Holy Spirit-through earnest prayers. He arrives and He can solve in seconds things we’ve battled for a long time!

9. Prayer Paves the Way for Supernatural Encounters

We find evidence of this all over Scripture. Prayer allows us to experience Him to unimaginable spiritual heights,  where the Lord peels back the veil between the physical and spiritual realms and grants us access to the supernatural. This deepens our knowledge, convictions, and faith in Him.

10. Prayer Unleashes Radical Miracles

If you can think it, prayer can achieve it. God has and is still performing astounding feats of breakthrough, divine favor, protection, prosperity, deliverance, and an innumerable host of others! The simple trigger was the prayer of His faithful children.

11. Prayer Evokes Divine Intervention

When all has been said and done, and every shred of hope is gone, desperation will threaten to discourage us. In the midst of this, we can turn to the God that makes impossibilities possible. The God that can open every door that was closed and close every door that is open. The God of the 11th hour!

12. Prayer Brings Revival

It is amazing how prayer acts as a contagion. It just has to start with one passionate person. Soon, that territory will be ablaze for God. As the powerful results of prayers are revealed, unbelief and cynicism shatter. Souls will be saved and His Kingdom will be expanded. The Name of our God will be glorified.

t all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

With love, Grace
